BCAA stands for Branched Chain Amino Acid. BCAAs are called that because of their chemical structure. Nutricost mixes its BCAAs in the optimal 2:1:1 ratio: 2 L-Leucine, 1 L-Isoleucine, and 1 L-Valine. And at 6 grams of BCAAs per scoop, you get what you need (by weight, not volume, some settling may occur). All our BCAAs are derived from plants, not animals. Additionally, Nutricost uses Fermented BCAAs.
